Experiential Therapy For Mental Health

When you are ready to take your healing to the next level and transform your life, an experiential intensive can help. A one hour session is simply not enough to unpack your story in a truly powerful way. An Intensive is a block of time that allows for a focused and in-depth look at one’s experience, story, and trauma healing process. The added time allows clients to access an emotional depth not possible in weekly sessions.  Intensives are an opportunity to move towards healing in an efficient way if you’re looking to experience long-term growth and change and finally make a shift in your life that feels meaningful.

Each intensive is a unique experience. Working together, Amy will begin by learning your goals for the experience and how you might best benefit from the time. Together we will decide on the activities and modalities as we co-create the experience. Amy’s focus is not to teach you coping skills, because the intention is not to help you cope with your suffering, but rather set you free from it. Coping is not healing. The focus is to help you find freedom from what is holding you back from living the life you desire.

Not only is Amy highly intuitive but she is also intensely trained in a range of experiential modalities including Psychodrama, Brain Spotting, Nature Therapy, Expressive Arts, Somatic Therapies,Meditation and EMDR.

If you are struggling with trauma, grief and loss, attachment disorders, and relationship complications(including relationships with high-conflict individuals and/or narcissism), Amy can provide a place of safety where curiosity, exploration and self-reflection are possible. Amy’s goal is to support you in the journey back to your true self and provide tools that allow you to find your worth, deepening the connection with yourself in order to have healthier connections with others.

Experiential is an umbrella term for a variety of methods that engage your mind (both conscious and unconscious) as well as your body and muscle memory. Most experiential techniques are hands-on, immersive, and allow you to connect with yourself in different ways. This can allow you to drop into your feelings instead of remaining in the cognitive part of our brain.

When your full system is involved, it allows for new and deeper insights that lead to growth and change. Rather than simply talking about problems, we will co-create moments where you will actively engage in activities and exercises. Those moments will help you explore your past traumas, renegotiate experiences of pain and disappointment and work through your emotions.
